Innovation and Evolution. LRM’s modular design philosophy is a design for excellence. Innovation and the novel use of components, materials, and processes all work together in the T85e. Though based on the T8i FCM, the T85 uses a single Luxeon ® emitter mounted coaxially on a high efficiency heat sink and uses secondary optics to produce its beam. The versatile structure of the T85e can be upgraded with higher capacity solar panels for operation in northerly lower light conditions. Powerful and Efficient. The T85e is compact weighing in at only 4.29kg (9.5lbs). It weighs less and is smaller than most 3 to 5 mile lanterns. The T85e shares the same industry standard mounting system and can be customized on request.

T85e 5-7 Mile Lantern

5 Mile Solar Lantern The T85e is designed for applications that require up to 5 nautical miles of visibility. Its design features triple hard- coat anodized T6061 precision machined aluminium components, #18-8 stainless steel hardware, and a UV- stabilized precision moulded Lexan ® polycarbonate lens. It is easy to install, and will provide years of maintenance free operation. The T85e is designed to be serviceable and upgradable to extend service life.

Emitter Technology. The Lumiled’s Luxeon ® emitter and secondary optics form the heart of LRM’s extended range lanterns.

Thermal Efficiency. To manage heat generated by the emitter Bergquist thermal pads and aluminium stand-offs are used.
